Jasmine has been in legal practice since 1994 with international law firms Coudert Brothers and DLA Piper, as well as several of the largest Singapore law firms, including Allen & Gledhill LLP. From 2007 – 2009, she was based in the Beijing offices of DLA Piper.

Jasmine specializes in corporate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and commercial law. Her focus is on transactional work involving complex cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing, joint ventures, sale of businesses and assets, restructurings and divestments. In addition to advising her clients on their investments in Singapore, including structuring, business licenses, regulatory compliance and employment, she regularly counsels local companies and global MNCs on their foreign direct investments in the region.

Jasmine also has an information technology and intellectual property transactional practice as an adjunct to her corporate and M&A practice. She has acted in a wide range of commercial transactions related to intellectual property and technology licensing, distribution, outsourcing, e-commerce, technology transfer, R&D and franchising. She advises on the protection of intellectual property rights, including devising intellectual property protection strategies. She also represents her clients on data privacy and protection issues.

Given her years of practice in international law firms, she has extensive experience representing her clients as international counsel on their transactions. Aside from Singapore, her portfolio of work involves jurisdictions such as China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, France, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands and the US.

Jasmine has been commended in various publications from 2011 – 2014, including The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Chambers Global and Chambers Asia-Pacific, as a leading lawyer for her corporate and M&A practices where she is described as “an extremely smart lawyer; a great practitioner to have onside” and “knowledgeable, smart and responsive”.
